The Roysterer is the leading tug in her class, the others being Rollicker
(A502) and Robust (A366). They were built for the Royal Maritime Auxiliary
Service, and at the time this class featured the largest and most powerful
tugs in the Navy.
The kit.
The hull is moulded in white at a scale of 1 : 48, including rubbing
strakes, positions for rudders and propshafts, mooring pipes, portholes
and all cut outs such as freeing ports moulded in.
The hull plan is one of four giant sheets drawn at the same scale as
the hull.
Everything can be measured off the plan and built or positioned. Also
available is an optional set of fittings and a pair of scale rudders.
