| A family company identified by its founder, Domenico
Conte, an aeronautical pilot and expert, was first established in Turin
in March 1943. The activity started under real "pioneering" conditions.
However, Mr. Conte 's aim and engagement - sometimes pushed to extreme
limits - to spread his own passionate interest for modelism were so strong
to have his efforts crowned with success.
From the aircrafts production line the next step was a line of static ship models which soon became a prevailing manufacturing area leading to the expansion of the Turiner company, the first one to introduce old ship-model kits on the Italian market. Aeropiccola is presently manufacturing and selling a wide range of ship-models selected from the most famous vessels of all times. The models are classed in three series according to their size or assembly difficulties: JUNIOR for the approach of youngsters to modelism, MEC for beginners, SUPERMEC+EXPORT for more expert modelers or anyone wishing to test his own ability with models requiring many hours of patient work. All assembly kits are provided with cut frames; some kits have laser-cut parts obtained through new modern manufacturing technologies to simplify assembly work. All the kits are inclusive of complete sets of wooden and metal fittings, double planking strips, clearly illustrated plans and detailed instructions. |
